Growing Tasks

What can you be doing to support your growing efforts?

Mulch to Cover Bare Soil

In preparation for the driest month of the summer, and now that plants are a mature size, mulch any remaining bare soil. You can use wood chips, compost, straw, or other organic material for this if it is free of weed seeds. This will keep plants hydrated between watering, protect the soil from UV of the sun, and will nourish the soil by encouraging beneficial organism growth.

Task duration: 1 Months
